My work & my philosophy (in one quick snapshot)

Over the past 18 years, whether as a junior information architect or as a Director of Human Centered Design, I've seen the roles in the UX space be continually renamed and redefined. But the primary requirements for effective leadership have remained constant, even as my goals for myself as a person have grown:

Define the strategy

The combination of customer and market research, data analytics, and human centered-design  transform vision into defined strategy. And it starts with answering four questions.

Create great products

Good digital design is useful and accessible to the end user, fulfills the goals of the stakeholders, and maximizes the available technologies.

Lead the changes

Aligning the vision and the output among all stakeholders and teams is particularly important whether leading change management initiatives in a company's design processes or adding new dimensions to a company's very culture.

Some case studies:  FirstNet design team    CGI SharePoint

Strive to do good

Everyone needs a cause that inspires them to leave the world a bit better than they found it. Mine is promoting the multi-generational workforce of today.  If I join your company, I'll want to get involved!

Some examples:  Critical Mass    IAC Presentation

"In over eighteen years working with businesses, technologies, and design, I've learned that people are everything to a project's success. When a diversity of backgrounds and perspectives come together on a team to fuel inspiration and creativity,
great things result."
